Reflection – With love, there are no boundaries

Today’s reading is about Jesus who died to give us life.  The Eucharist is a great gift of Love for us in the image of the body and blood of Christ.  Jesus said, “I am the living bread that came down from heaven, whoever eats this bread will live forever.”

This sacrament of love is given to us to receive the very person of the risen Christ.  This is food for our faith journey. The spiritual …

Reflection – An Indescribable Inheritance

This week’s readings are very encouraging to all of us who have our faith and who listen to our teachings.

The statement in the second reading makes you feel an unbelievable love and joy that is being revealed in the resurrection of our Lord.  He suffered to give us a second chance in being with him in heaven.

With this overwhelming joy we feel in our hearts, it is our total belief that …

Reflection – May We See the Sacredness in Each Other

This week’s readings are the most challenging yet. With so much going on in the world today and so many of us having problems with our spirituality, it makes you wonder what is next.

The statement in the first reading makes you realize that we are holy because we were created in the image of God. This holiness that is given to us in baptism, is our gift that carries us through life with a caring …

Reflection – The Family that Brings Peace and Joy

The traditional Christmas, as I remember, was very family focused when I grew up.  Christmas was for children when Santa came once a year, bringing toys for boys and girls to play with and to be happy.  It was a very peaceful and joyous time.

As time went on, it became that gift exchanging was a tradition, gifts were giving to everyone in the family and to your friends.  We also started to expect gifts from family and friends.  Gifts …

Reflection – My Lord, My Creator

My faith has been tested in many different ways and times on my life journey with my creator.  In the first reading, it talks about our creator being so merciful that he forgives our sins, and knowing that, we learn a lesson that we can repent.  It’s like a parent teaching a child that we don’t have to be harsh with punishment to understand what we are learning.

In this reading, it again reminds us that the Lord …

Reflection – Ascension

Ascension should be one of the most important days in our catholic faith.  It should be celebrated like Christmas because Christmas is the day when Jesus is born in our likeness, a human being. He was born and lived like us, and his journey was to teach about his Father, our creator.  He was born to teach us on how to live with each other and love one another.  He taught about the 10 laws of life, which are …

Reflection – Nurturing Our Faith

My understanding on today’s second reading is that our ancestors lived on the land and the sea with the same needs like everybody else.  The second reading also noted that they were all baptized into Moses, as we are all baptized.  It also mentions that there were still some evil doers who, at the same time, depended on the same spiritual rock that followed them.  God was not pleased with their way of accepting or desiring evil. They were …
